2000 Ford Mustang
The 2000 Ford Mustang is part of a long line of pony cars that have remained the best selling cars of their class since the original was produced way back in 1964. There have been multiple overhauls of these cars over the years both inside and out, yet they remain as powerful and performance oriented as ever. For 2000, the 'Stang remains relatively similar to previous model years a few years before. There is a abundance of trim packages and engines offered which make this one of the most customizable pony cars for that model year. Competitors like the Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Thunderbird were still using the Mustang as the standard in the class even for their 2000 models.

The trim packages available include a V-6 deluxe, V-6 premium, GT deluxe, and a GT premium. At the lower end of the trim package spectrum the V-6 deluxe is still a very formidable vehicle that is powerful and comfortable to drive. On the inside owners will find just about full power accessories including windows and locks. Other features one is likely to find on a deluxe model include bucket seats, AC, CD players, and a plethora of other optional features. Stepping up to a GT trim package will add quite a bit in the form of standard features and optional additions as well. All GTs come with 17 inch wheels, full power accessories, more cloth fabric options or full leather upholstery, hood scoops, body accents, and interior style accents as well.

Under the hood of a 2000 Ford Mustang there a few different engines buyers may choose from. On the smaller end there is a 4.0 liter V6 engine that powers the non-GT packages. Standard for these engines is a 5 speed manual transmission, for a little bit more money there is a 5 speed automatic offered as well. All GT models come equipped with a 4.6 liter V8 engine that puts out up to 300 horsepower and 320 pound feet of torque. Again there is both a 5 speed manual and automatic transmission, with the manual still offered as standard on all GT models. For optimal fuel efficiency and control over the vehicle it is highly recommended that if possible owners choose a manual transmission.
